Suntan Supply hosted its 12th annual tanning symposium on Sunday, Feb.10 at the Holiday Inn Select in Strongsville, Ohio.

Approximately 450 salon owners, vendors and Suntan Supply employees attended the event, which featured the latest in products and services, and T.W. Tan, Suntan Supply’s lotion division, offered numerous show specials and discounts.

Vendors included Australian Gold,  Designer Skin, California Tan, Supre, Fiesta Sun, Fiji Blend, Cosmedico, Mystic Tan, JK Capital, Sun Ergoline, The Tannie, Eye Pro, Inc. and Wolff System.

A variety of tanning beds—housed in booths created with the exclusive Sun Walls Modular Tanning Room System—were available for attendees to try out. The company also introduced their salon poster creation program. As part of that introduction, Suntan Supply gave away two framed, four-color posters of the winner’s own design.

Other prizes included:

• Fiji Blend Lotion Collection (valued at $2,100) won by Linda Dean of Alliance, Ohio-based Golden Touch Tanning Salon.
• Australian Gold Lotion Collection (valued at $1,900) won by Alice Eckley of Cortland, Ohio-based Alice’s Style Salon.
• California Tan Lotion Collection (valued at $2,000) won by Michelle Mahkovic of Jeanette, Penn.-based Sun Catcherz.
• Designer Skin Lotion Collection (valued at $2,000) won by Tammy Mathia of Alliance, Ohio-based SunBeam Tanning Salon.
• 19-inch LCD Television won by Darlene Amabeli of Sebring, Ohio-based Hair Department.
• Pre-owned SunDash SD-2 Tanning Bed won by Jeff Harb of Parma, Ohio-based Planet Sunn Tann.
• New Soltron Seashell Tanning Bed won by Roger Fields of Hamilton, Ohio-based Gold N Tan.

In addition, Jerry Deveney of Sun Ergoline gave away lottery tickets, cash prizes and cases of lamps.
