  4. Take the Test or Instructions:
    The North Carolina Online Certification Program uses a two-part online testing process. Both sections must be passed in order for you to receive your certification. Part one, The NTTI Basic Indoor Tanning Certification test, must be completed with a score of 80 percent or better. The second part of the test, the North Carolina Tanning Operator exam, must be completed with a score of 80 percent or better to pass.
  5. You may attempt to pass each test up to 3 times prior to receiving a failing grade
