To get started, simply do the following:

  1. Review the material, Basic Indoor Tanning Certification Course
  2. Review Federal Regulations
    Federal performance requirements for ultraviolet (uv) light equipment are found in Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) section 1040.20.
  3. Review State of Ohio Code
    Ohio Residents, If you are operating in the state of OHIO, please review operation requirements at http://www.cos.ohio.gov/Home/Tanning
    Attn: Ohio Tanning Salon Owners and Tanners: Parental consent needed for all under 18 years of age effective June, 2003.
  4. Take the Test
    Please Note: After you have completed the Ohio Online Program and successfully passed the online test with a score of 75% or better, you will then be required to complete a final test at one of our predetermined test sites across Ohio.
  5. Contact one of our state testing sites to arrange your required monitored final exam.

You will be required to show a government-issued photo ID and a copy of your online receipt.
