In December 2009, Terry Katz – who launched Fiji Blend lotions eight years earlier – announced the company would be closing its doors. However, Beau Soleil, a Canadian tanning bed manufacturer, has taken over Fiji Blend lotions. As of June 4, 2010, Beau Soleil became the owner of all the copyrights and production rights. A re-launch of the brand is scheduled for this fall. All product is expected to be available by the end of October 2010.
The Fiji Blend name will stay intact, as will the company Web site, www.fijiblend.com (the site will not be active until the re-launch draws nearer). The new phone number will be 877.535.FIJI (3454).
